The waterfront and views between East and West Looe help bring the fictional town to life. Away from the cameras, Looe is a working fishing port with its own everyday rhythm.
The beach and distinctive pier are among Looe’s recognisable locations. Pause by the water and take in the coastline that gives the series its seaside atmosphere.
Our suggested walk starts right outside Teglios on East Quay. Wander through the old town towards the Guildhall, continue to East Looe beach and Banjo Pier, then return along the waterfront. Cross the bridge to West Looe for a different view back across the harbour.
Take it at your own pace, leaving time for photographs, a coffee or lunch. These are public places in a living town; please respect residents, local businesses and any temporary filming restrictions.
No. Looe is a key location, but the production also uses other places in Cornwall and Devon. The real town is Looe, Cornwall; Shipton Abbott is the fictional Devon setting. Visiting the Guildhall does not mean entering a working television set or police station.
Stay beside the harbour at Teglios and enjoy Looe beyond the screen: morning walks, beach days and evenings around the table. Explore more ideas for your stay below.
