Good to know

The trail is around 1.5 miles and takes approximately 1.5 hours or longer, with time for stops. Choose an instant download or a printed copy from the provider. Check its current route, access guidance and price before buying; take suitable shoes and supervise children around roads and the waterfront.

Sandcastles & rock-pool discoveries

Fresh air · Beach fun · Simple pleasures

Pack buckets and spades for East Looe’s sandy beach, a short stroll from Teglios. For a different seaside adventure, head across to Hannafore and look for the little creatures hiding in the rock pools at low tide.

Good to know

Check tide times and local signs, supervise children closely and wear shoes with grip on rocks. Leave wildlife where you find it. East Looe Beach does not allow pet dogs; our beach guide includes dog-friendly alternatives.

Looe Valley Line

Scenic journey · Car-free · Dogs welcome

A relaxed railway outing beside the estuary and through wooded countryside to Liskeard.

Good to know

Check the current timetable for both legs before travelling; services vary by day and season. Up to two dogs per person can travel on leads under the rail guidance. Tredinnick · near Wadebridge · Longer day out

Camel Creek Family Adventure Park

Rides · Indoor play · Family day out

Make a day of it with a mix of family rides and play areas. The park’s current attraction guide is the best place to choose what suits your children before you go.

Good to know

Check seasonal opening, current tickets and individual ride restrictions. Indoor play can be useful when showers arrive, but this is a park day rather than an entirely indoor outing. Allow plenty of time for the drive from Looe.

These outings have indoor things to explore. Wheal Martyn also has outdoor trails, so bring coats if you want to see everything.
